About

Michele Cohen

My passion for adventure travel was fuelled when I gave up the world of finance in London, and headed to the Himalayas. I continued to Australasia and South Africa - after 10 months I was hooked. A few years later I went to Latin America, learning Spanish in Guatemala and, over 18 months, I explored Central America and South to Patagonia: working for a charity, leading trekking groups, hiking the Andes, discovering the Galapagos, and interacting with the people. In 1999 I became a Tour Leader for a UK Adventure Tour Operator, and spent 8 years leading trekking and cultural holidays across Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Asia; I also escorted charity fundraising groups to many remote regions in the world and some high summits. I have climbed Kilimanjaro 8 times, hiked the Inca Trail 6 times, Aconcagua 3 times, and been to Everest Base Camp 5 times!
I moved to Vancouver in 2007 and have been a part of the Renshaw Travel Family since 2009. I specialize in arranging Custom Tours and Adventure Travel, ranging from cultural holidays in Peru, wildlife experiences in Africa, exploration in Myanmar, up to high altitude trekking peaks in the Andes and Himalayas.
I have intricate knowledge of many lesser developed regions around the world. I continue to lead occasional tours - come join one!
